Community
As a locally-owned community bank, giving back to the communities we serve is an important part of the West Gate Bank mission. And since West Gate Bank deposits are 100% reinvested into the community, you can also support the financial well-being of Lincoln and Omaha.
We strongly believe in Omaha and Lincoln and are committed to helping them grow. Through charitable donations, West Gate Bank provides sponsorship and support to numerous community organizations including Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln, People's City Mission, Open Door Mission, Lincoln Community Foundation "Give to Lincoln Day", and the Willard Community Center.
In 2007, West Gate Bank was presented with the Better Business Bureau's Integrity Award for its commitment to conducting business with integrity. Carl Sjulin, owner of West Gate Bank, was honored as the Lincoln Independent Business Association's Business Owner of the Year in 2008. In 2014, West Gate Bank also received the Community Leader Award from FHLBank of Topeka for outstanding community leadership and strong financial performance.
As part of our ongoing dedication to Lincoln and Omaha, West Gate Bank and its employees are involved in over 100 community, charitable and civic groups that help your community prosper. In 2022, West Gate Bank contributed $41,754 in employee and corporate donations through the annual United Way campaign. Employees also participate in the Meals on Wheels program, Junior Achievement, Better Business Bureau "Shred Day", and many other organizations.
