New Online Banking Security Feature

The protection of your personal information is very important to us. We are pleased to announce an added login security feature that helps guard your personal information by adding another layer of identity verification to online financial interactions.

 

How does the new security feature work?

When logging into online or mobile banking, you will receive a message (text or voice) on your phone with a 6-digit code. You will be asked to enter this code to complete the login process on your computer or mobile device. NOTE: This feature requires a simple setup, but it takes the place of answering security questions when logging into online banking.

 

When will this new feature begin?

Starting July 13, 2022, when you log into online or mobile banking, you will be asked to set up your verification phone number.

 

How do I set up this feature?

1. Users will be prompted to enter a phone number when logging into Online or Mobile Banking. This phone number is where you will receive your One-Time Passcode (OTP) the next time you login. You can choose to receive your OTP via SMS text message or automated phone call. To receive your OTP via SMS text message, you are required to enter a mobile phone number.

2. At your next login, you will be prompted to enter the OTP code you received via SMS text message or automated phone call.

3. You may be asked periodically to enter a new OTP based on a variety of factors including login method, location, device, and time.

4. Your OTP will be different each time you are asked to enter it at login.

5. All OTP and verification messages will come from the same 5-digit phone number (36397).

6. You can update your OTP phone number by logging into Online Banking, selecting "Profile" (top right), and selecting "Security Challenge".

7. You can only link one phone number to use for OTP verification. Each user will need to be enrolled in online banking with their own individual profile.
