Reports to: Mortgage Investor Reporting/Cash Manager
Non-exempt, Full-time*
Primary Job Purpose: Perform mortgage loan functions ensuring attention to detail, accuracy and timely completion meeting all deadlines. Maintain compliance with all federal, state, government and banking rules and regulations as well as agency guidelines.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for accurate and timely preparation and processing of various Investor remittances/reporting based on Investor guidelines/service agreements
- Prepare various Internal and Investor reconciliations while resolving any reconciling items in a timely manner
- Researches and resolves problems as they arise and ensures accurate resolution is completed in a timely manner
- Perform loan transfers as loans are sold/transferred/repurchased and verify accuracy of reporting
- Respond to Investor inquiries accurately and timely
- Input monetary journal entries as required
- Accurately prepare and submit various Insurer reporting following Insurer requirements
- Perform various tasks related to MERS reconciliation and report/notification monitoring
- Perform various internal and external reporting as required
- Serve as a main point of contact for all investor reporting and remittance inquiries
- Assist with providing requested items for various internal/external audits or reviews
- Provide outstanding customer service to borrowers, Investors, Insurers, internal bank employees, correspondent lenders, and vendors
- Work on special projects and perform all other duties as assigned
- Responsible for maintaining banking and departmental policies and procedures
- Regular work schedule with a level of flexibility based on demand
Job Specifications
Work Direction: This position reports to the Mortgage Investor Reporting/Cash Manager.
Accountability: This position has access to and knowledge of the financial situation of customers. The utmost discretion and confidentiality must be exercised with all data.
Work Relationship: Regular contact with internal and external customers. Must be able to communicate in a clear, concise, and pleasant manner.
Supervision: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic accounting/math skills required
- Prior banking or investor reporting experience preferred
- Ability to work in a team environment, but also work independently
- Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Willingness to research, analyze, and solve complex problems
- Experience with Window-based computer programs and immediate knowledge of Excel
- Initiative in self-development
